How recovery worksWhat a planned tech town means for your IT
Peachtree Corners was a planned place long before it was a city. In the late 1960s, developer Paul Duke, a Georgia Tech graduate, laid out a mix of homes and a campus of low-rise offices meant for clean, technical industries. That campus became Technology Park/Atlanta, one of the first planned technology parks in Georgia. Residents voted to incorporate in 2011, and the city officially formed on July 1, 2012. The 2020 census counted 42,243 people.
An office economy
The Census Bureau's ZIP Code Business Patterns for 2023 count 1,882 employer establishments in ZIP code 30092, which covers most of the city. The mix leans hard toward offices. Professional, scientific and technical services form the largest group, at 366 establishments, including 78 computer systems design firms and 62 architecture and engineering firms. Finance and insurance add 274, and 182 of those are insurance agencies, brokerages and related businesses. Health care adds 168. Only 42 are manufacturers. Size matters too: 496 of those establishments employ between 10 and 249 people, and 80 employ 100 or more.
That profile shapes the IT work. Insurance agencies hold policyholder records and bank details, and carriers ask harder security questions every year. Engineering and software firms move large files, juggle specialized licenses and often give staff admin rights they don't need. Regional offices of bigger companies follow head-office policies but still need someone local for the network, the printers and the conference rooms. A 25-person firm in a Technology Parkway suite can carry the same exposure as a company ten times its size.
A living lab next to ordinary offices
In 2019 the city opened Curiosity Lab, a test bed for connected and self-driving vehicles that runs right through the office park. The lab now describes a 3-mile track with 5G coverage and dedicated fiber. It earns the city a reputation for technology. It doesn't change the basics for the businesses around it. Most still run on Microsoft 365, a firewall in a closet and laptops that go home every night. The hard part isn't the new technology. It's keeping ordinary systems patched, backed up and locked down, week after week.
Leased suites and shared buildings
Many companies here rent space in office parks along Technology Parkway, Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Holcomb Bridge Road. Leased space brings its own IT questions. You're limited to the internet providers that have wired the building. The network closet may be shared or locked by the landlord. Moving suites, which often happens at lease renewal, means planning cabling, Wi-Fi, phones and a weekend cutover. We ask about the building early, because it affects almost every decision after that.
A workforce from across the metro
In 2023, County Business Patterns counted 27,653 employer establishments in Gwinnett County, with about 373,000 people on their payrolls. Peachtree Corners draws staff from across that county and from north Fulton and DeKalb, just over the Chattahoochee River and the county line. Plenty of people work a hybrid week. That makes managed laptops, secure sign-ins and cloud file access just as important as anything sitting in the office.
Our engineers come from Alpharetta, a short drive across the river on Holcomb Bridge Road or Peachtree Parkway. Most support is handled remotely. When something needs hands, we're close.
Where Peachtree Corners offices run into trouble
We hear versions of the same four problems from agencies, engineering firms and regional offices around Technology Park.
The suite outgrew the setup
The network was built for the first dozen people. Now there are forty, a second floor or a new suite down the road, and the same consumer Wi-Fi gear and flat network carry it all.
Head office sets rules, nobody local follows up
Regional offices get policies from corporate but no one on site to apply them. Printers, conference rooms and the local firewall end up maintained by whoever has time.
Payments ride on email
Premiums, invoices and wire details arrive by email every day. One spoofed message or a hijacked mailbox can redirect real money before anyone notices.
Lease renewal is coming
Moving suites means cabling, internet orders, phones and a cutover weekend. Without a plan, the office spends its first week back on hotspots.
From first call to a fully managed office
For a 10 to 75 person office, onboarding usually takes a month or a little more. A messy starting point adds a week or two.
Review
We visit your suite, look at the firewall, Wi-Fi, devices, Microsoft 365 and backups, and talk with the people who use them every day.
Propose
You get findings ranked by risk, a fixed monthly price and an onboarding schedule that avoids your busy weeks.
Switch over
We collect accounts and records from your current provider, roll out monitoring, close the urgent gaps and introduce staff to the help desk.
Run and improve
We handle tickets, updates and daily security and backup checks, then sit down with you each quarter to look back and plan ahead.

How Peachtree Corners offices usually handle IT
Many of the firms we meet have tried one of the first two. Each can work for a while, until the office grows or something serious breaks.
| A coworker who is good with computers | Break-fix tech billed by the hour | Sentry Cloud IT | |
|---|---|---|---|
| First call for help | Whoever sits closest | A cell number that may go to voicemail | Technicians reading your office notes as they answer |
| Updates and patches | Whenever there's a spare hour | Only while on the clock | Scheduled, monitored and reported monthly |
| Email and sign-in security | Default settings | Set once, rarely revisited | MFA, filtering and alert review, managed daily |
| Backups | Assumed to be fine | Installed, seldom tested | Checked every business day, restores tested on a schedule |
| Suite moves and new hires | Figured out under pressure | Billed by the hour | Planned ahead and covered in the agreement or quoted up front |
| Budget visibility | None | Swings with every invoice | Flat monthly fee plus an annual technology budget |

Is your office in Peachtree Corners?
No. We're based in Alpharetta, a short drive across the Chattahoochee. Engineers come to Peachtree Corners for planned and urgent site work, and most everyday requests are solved remotely.
Do you support regional offices of larger companies?
Yes. We can be the local IT team for a branch office, working alongside corporate IT on policy while we handle the network, devices and people on site.

Headcount, device count and which of the four services you want. Once the review is done we put a flat number in writing. Everyday support requests are covered, so nobody watches the clock.
Can you help when we move to a new suite?
Yes. We plan internet orders, cabling, Wi-Fi and phones with the landlord and your vendors, then handle the cutover so people can work on the first morning.
